Fife Stop Smoking Service - Maternity Quit Your Way Service

Welcome to the NHS Fife Pregnancy Stop Smoking Service. We are looking forward to working along with you to ensure that you and your baby have the healthiest start to this journey possible.

If you are pregnant and live or work in Fife, support is available to help you to stop smoking. NHS Fife Quit Your Way: Maternity Service is available for appointments in various locations across Fife, including a drop-in clinic inside the maternity unit at the Victoria Hospital.

At your first appointment with your midwife, they will ask you if you are smoking. All pregnant women who are smoking will be referred to us at the Quit Your Way: Maternity Stop Smoking Service.

You will then receive a call from one of our friendly specialist advisors and they will talk to you about our service: If you would like to stop smoking, we offer one to one, face to face or telephone appointments at a time and venue that suits you. We may also be able to offer you a home visit. We will agree a plan to support you, that meets your needs and current situation.

You can expect our advisors to be non-judgemental and supportive and help you come up with a quit plan that works for you.

The Quit Your Way programme is weekly for approximately 12 weeks; we know people may not be able to attend each session so your advisor will work with you and offer support by telephone if needed.
